1. About this website
This website is operated by Abu Mu’min and the Al-Muazzinun volunteer team in Cyprus. It documents memorial records and cemetery care, shares community activities, and helps families contact the team about free Muslim burial services. It is not an official civil registry, death certificate service or government authority.
These terms explain permitted use of the website. Please read them before submitting content or requesting permission to reuse material. Specific acknowledgments are requested when you submit a form; optional statistics are governed by a separate choice described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Respectful and permitted use
You may browse public pages, search for a deceased person, open a grave’s QR link, and share public page links. You may use the website’s intended download and memorial-sharing tools for personal remembrance and condolences, subject to the rights of the people concerned and any third-party licence. This does not permit bulk extraction, commercial republication or misleading use of our identity.
Do not post abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, unlawful or deceptive material; impersonate the team or a family; expose private information about living people; or interfere with the security or availability of the website.
3. Ownership and permission
Photographs, videos, recordings, text and other material may belong to the initiative, their creators, contributors or other rightsholders. Displaying material here does not transfer ownership to us or grant visitors an unrestricted licence. We reserve the rights we lawfully hold in our original content, editing, design and protected arrangement of records. We do not claim ownership of facts merely because they appear on this website.
Except for the permitted uses above or rights provided by law, obtain prior written permission from the relevant rightsholder before copying, downloading for republication, reproducing, modifying, distributing, selling, licensing or commercially exploiting protected material. A copyright credit alone is not permission. We can grant permission only for rights we control.
4. No unauthorised scraping or harvesting
Without prior written authorisation, you must not use bots, scripts, crawlers or similar tools to collect memorial records or images in bulk, reconstruct our collection, harvest contact details, repeatedly extract material to build another database, or bypass access restrictions. You must not use material to train or develop AI systems or for text and data mining where permission is required and the relevant rights may lawfully be reserved.
For rights we control, we expressly reserve text and data mining rights to the extent permitted by applicable law. Our machine-readable reservation is published at /.well-known/tdmrep.json. Ordinary search-engine indexing and links to public pages are permitted; a search listing is not a licence to copy the collection.
These restrictions do not override mandatory legal exceptions, lawful access rights, freedom of expression, or rights to use unprotected information. Permission requests should describe the material, intended purpose, audience and method of use. We may seek removal of unauthorised copies or other remedies available under law; these terms do not impose an automatic fine.
5. Submissions and moderation
Submit only accurate information you are entitled to provide. For photographs or other protected material, you must have appropriate permission from the relevant rightsholder and, where required, the people concerned. Do not upload identity documents, medical records or unnecessary details about living relatives.
By submitting material for publication, you give the team a non-exclusive permission to review it and, if approved, display and technically format it for the website and its intended memorial-sharing features. Ownership remains with the rightsholder. You may contact us about correction, removal or withdrawal of a permission, subject to applicable law.
Visitor submissions and prayers remain unpublished until approved. Care reports are intended for the administration and are not automatically published. We may reject or remove content for a relevant reason, including accuracy, privacy, rights concerns or misuse. Approval does not certify the information as an official record.
6. Burial arrangements and accuracy
The team’s burial services are provided without charging the bereaved family. Transport depends on available resources and prior coordination. Website information does not itself confirm a booking, transport, burial permission or a funeral time. Confirm practical arrangements directly with the team and follow the requirements of the relevant authorities.
We take reasonable care with records, but errors or incomplete information may occur. Please report corrections. Digital grave numbers and map markers help identify records and locations; do not rely on them alone to identify a physical grave. Prayer times, audio and other supplementary tools should be checked against appropriate local information where necessary.
7. External services
External links, maps, media sources, WhatsApp and sign-in services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link is not a guarantee of their content or availability. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights.
8. Responsibility and legal rights
We do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free third-party content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer or data-protection rights, or excuses fraud or other liability that applicable law protects. Any limitation is effective only to the extent the law permits.
The laws of the Republic of Cyprus apply where legally applicable, without removing mandatory protections available under other applicable laws. These terms do not require you to waive a court or complaint right granted by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining lawful provisions continue to apply.
9. Updates and rights complaints
We may update these terms and show the new effective date. Material changes affecting submissions will be brought to users’ attention where appropriate. For a rights complaint, identify the material, your relationship to it and the remedy requested. We will review the concern and may restrict the material while it is assessed. Do not include sensitive documents in a public submission.
